In12 years of education in Singapore..

I've come acrossed different types of teacher..

Some are inspirational..

With their passion in mind..

They are the fuel to a student's dream..

They believe in the student's abilty..

This kind of teacher is a bit rare..

But I met some during my secondary school days..

Some are what i called the class "light bulb"

This teacher live up our days..

With their constant jokes and sarcasm to make sure that lessons are not boring..

And to perk up interest in the students..

Well.. Their teaching might not be detailed enough..

But they are the favourites in school..

This kind of teacher.. I've met a handful during my primary school days..

And definitely during Secondary School..

Another group is what i called "don't-know-what-they-teach-but-they-try-anyway" kind..

Well.. This teacher.. are quite one dimensional..

Its the kind that.. "up to you.. not my problem"

So be it even if the whole class turns upsidedown while he teach..

he will still teach.. 

but hey.. at least he tried..

i met one during Sec 3.. Haha.. U guess it.. 

Another kind is the "i-know-everything-u-better-obey-me" species..

This one..

Haix.. Makes the class like a military ground..

The kind that throw books at you when you make mistake in you homework..

This teacher believes in hard punishment..

But hey.. At lease he's not slacking..

Now come to my last point.. I decided to add this after I met this teacher..

The last kind and the latest category..

The.. "Make-the-classroom-as-the-hotel" teacher..

This kind.. is extremely rare.. 

This kind, is the type that come into the classroom and did nothing..

Basically, he just sit and do his work..

And he expected us to do our own work..

Maybe he believe that self-thought is the key..

But of course we have to make assumption..

To be in his class.. You need to have talent in mind reading..

We need a bit of guidance.. That's why we come to class.. 

*sigh.. double sigh.. triple sigh..

that's why teaching needs passion..

some people just don't understand it..
